ADDITIONAL TOURNAMENT INFORMATION
The link will go live on Tuesday, October 13th at 9 am.
We will again be offering:
U11,
U13 T1, U13 T2,
U15T1, U15T2,
U17T1, U17T2,
U19T1/U23 Open, U19T2/Intermediate.
U11 is a 5-game guarantee with a registration fee of $840, and all other age groups are a 6-game guarantee with a registration fee of $985. U11 is a four-game round robin and a single-elimination playoff round. All other divisions are a five-game round robin and single-elimination playoffs.
All guarantees are weather-dependent. We do our best to manage weather as much as possible, but we do sometimes have to reduce the number of games.
Games will start on Friday night for many local teams (within an hour) and Saturday morning for all others. All teams will play on Monday (Victoria Day).
We are again using Event Connect for registration and scheduling/scorekeeping/standings, etc. They provide a hotel booking service as well. We are not a stay-to-play event.
We will again use the App for easier access to schedules. You can download it for free in the App Store by searching Brantford Bobcats Fastpitch
We encourage teams who find they are waitlisted to continue with the registration. We are often able to add a few more teams in each division, and it is quite common to have teams getting in the event who didn't initially have a spot.
We expect to host a similar number of teams to last year (142 teams); however, the breakdown of numbers in each division can vary based on demand.
In recent years, we have found that the event fills very quickly. We would expect this year to be similar, so we encourage teams wanting to register to make sure to have someone available to register your team right when things open on the 13th.
We allow teams to hold their spot with a deposit of $125, with the balance due by April 1st.
We have a new tournament email for e-transfer [email protected] which will allow autodeposit. (and not clog my work email). An earlier posting had a typo in the email address.
Please include your full team name including age group and tier in the message of the e-transfer.
We are a sanctioned event and welcome teams from other provinces and states. Out-of-province teams do require travel permits and/or insurance.

Good morning. Thanks for your patience as we worked through the registrations and tried to find as many spots as we could for teams.

At this point, we have expanded the divisions as much as we can to take additional teams. I believe we have checked and removed any duplicate entries.

There are sometimes teams who decide down the road that they don't want a spot, and one will open up, but that doesn't happen all that much. One of the purposes of the deposit is to ensure that we don't just have teams holding spots they later decide to drop.

I'm sorry we are not able to accommodate more teams, and I appreciate that it is disappointing to tell the players they didn't get into an event they wanted to attend. We ended up with 100 teams on the waitlist so hopefully the kids and parents are understanding that it's just a very popular weekend.

If any teams paid a deposit and find they are waitlisted, can you please send me an email, and I will get the funds back to you. Please send it to the [email protected] email so it doesn't get buried in my main email account.

Tom
